Well I thought my first baking item on my blog should be a simple one so here it is...Jam Donut Cupcakes. These were made for a Mother's Day dinner at my Nonna's house with my family.
Now these cupcakes may not be as yummy as the jam donuts from the Queen Vic Market, they still contain the three most important ingredients: jam, sugar and carbs!
Best served warm - but taste good no matter when they are eaten.
Oh and don't worry, I did make more than one - this was just so I can show you a pretty picture!
Recipe as follows:
Jam Donut Cupcakes
Makes 12
Basic Vanilla Cupcake Mix (boxed or home-made-whichever you prefer)
Raspberry/Plum Jam
Cinnamon Sugar
1. Bake cupcakes as per box instructions or trusted recipe.
2. Once baked, pipe jam into the centre of each cupcake.
3. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar
4. Eat!
I told you they were easy to make! Bake a batch and judge for yourselves.
Happy Baking!
